Aura

Creating an aura and energy from within.
A breath in the air giving the movement life. Seeing the movement within the music and living inside each dancer. Movement is oxygen for a dancer letting us transform into something other worldly.


Inspiration

Meaning of the word Aura,

  1. The distinctive atmosphere or quality that seems to surround and be generated by a person, thing, or place.

  2. With Greek origin meaning breath.

Performed by dancers of the Royal New Zealand Ballet at Theatre Royal, Nelson March 2017 as a part of RNZB’s 2017 ‘Tutus on Tour’.
